The South Downs

Cuckmere Camping Pods glamping site is located in a superb destination for walking, cycling and outdoor enthusiasts. It offers a perfect base from which to explore with a little luxury at the end of the day to relax, refresh and get ready for the next day’s adventures.

Walking is one of the main attractions of the South Downs, not least because of the terrific views of the countryside and the sea but also the rich variety of flora and fauna thriving in the chalk downland habitat.  Bird watching is very popular at Cuckmere Haven. From the site there is direct access to Cuckmere Haven and to miles of walking and cycling trails leading through the beautiful countryside of the South Downs and along the spectacular Heritage Coast passing through pretty Sussex villages with some lovely country pubs along the way.

You can pick up the South Downs Way National Trail at nearby Exceat which takes you via the the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head down to Eastbourne. There are endless walking and cycling routes from the Pod door and if you want a ride home, you will never be far from a bus stop or train station. There are also plenty of family friendly paths and trails.
